Withdrawing your funds from Rally back to your bank account is straightforward, but it does take a few additional steps. Direct withdrawal to banks is not currently supported, but you can very quickly and easily withdraw to a centralized crypto exchange. Cryptocurrency exchanges enable you to swap crypto back to your native currency (like USD or EUR) and then facilitate the transfer back to your bank account. This makes the process faster (no additional KYC) and keeps your money in one place.
Step #1 — Choose a centralized exchange
Select a cryptocurrency exchange that supports the tokens you're trying to cash out. Many of our users are familiar with exchanges like Coinbase, Robinhood, Binance, or Kraken.
If you don't already have an account at an exchange, you will need to create one. Depending on your country and local regulation, you may need to go through KYC/AML verification with the exchange.
Step #2 — Get the deposit address from your centralized exchange
Once you have a verified account on your exchange of choice, find the deposit or receive option for the token you are transferring.
Most exchanges have guides for how to do this:
Coinbase: Getting your Coinbase receive address
Robinhood: Receiving Crypto on Robinhood
Here's an example of where you might find the "Receive" option on Coinbase:
Make sure you are copying the address for the token you want to send.
WARNING ⚠️ Sending unsupported or non-compatible tokens to an address may result in the inability to recover them.
Many centralized exchanges will not support deposits for memecoins. Because of this, we recommend only sending widely-supported cryptos, such as Solana or Ethereum.
If you are trading memecoins, you can swap them to the native currency in Rally before sending them.
Step #3 — Send your tokens from Rally to your exchange account
Open your Rally app and select the token you want to transfer.
In the bottom right, you will see a "send" button (shaped like a paper plane). Use the send option to transfer it to the deposit address of your exchange.
Choose the amount you want to send, and submit!
WARNING ⚠️ Transfers on the blockchain are non reversible: so triple check the addresses you are copy and pasting. If you are sending large amounts, consider sending a test transaction first to confirm that it lands in your account as expected.
Step #4 — Sell your tokens for fiat
Once the tokens reach your exchange account, you can sell them your typical currency (like USD) through their trading platform.
Once the sale is complete, you will be able to transfer the currency back to your linked bank account 🏦 ✅
Best Practices
Transfers on the blockchain are non reversible: so triple check the addresses you are copy and pasting.
If you are sending large amounts, consider sending a test transaction first to confirm that it lands in your account as expected.
Confirm that the exchange supports the chain & assets you are sending. Many exchanges do not support most memecoins, and only allow sends of Solana (SOL), Ethereum (ETH), USDC, etc.
Note that it can often take a short period for exchanges to confirm receipt of tokens sent to transfer addresses.
